Cannot create new backup on NAS

Thread needs solution

I moved from Windows XP to 7 professional about 3 months ago and just discovered some problems.

I run scheduled backups daily on several drives and they seem to be fine.

When I try to create a new backup on a NAS it runs for a while and then gives an error message - no files are created. The progress bar shows partially green and it say it has 15 minutes left.

When I click on view logs, it shows logs from July, and I cannot get ones for this month. However if I click on October in the calendar, I see the logs.

Is this NAS attached via USB? If so using Device Manager check properties and make certain the timeout function is turned off.

No, the NAS is on the local network - and its working - I can back up files to it using SyncBackPro

Yesterday I tried several times to backup with Acronis and they all failed. I just tried again and the backup is running. I'll see if it completes later.
