Cannot delete acronis folder or change permissions

Acronis TI 2014

I backed up a vista machine and tried to restore on a seven to search the back up. There was not enough room. Now I cannot delete the folder and it is 90GB. I get "an error occurred while applying security information to access is denied" when i try to change permissions to delete it. Is that because of encryption?
