Cannot delete an exclusion

Thread needs solution

Under the Backup Options, I added some exclusions. Now I want to remove a couple of them. There is no Delete or Remove button (after highlighting an entry). Right-clicking on an entry does not display a context menu with an option to delete that entry.

So far, the only way that I've found to get rid of 1 exclusion is to get rid of all of them and redefine all the ones that I wanted to keep. So to remove 1 exclusion, I have to delete all N exclusions by doing a reset and then I have to recreate N-1 exclusions. If N is small, like under 5, then it's a nuisance but not great. If N is large, like 10, or more, then having to recreate all those N-1 exclusions is a royal pain in the <you-know-where>.

This is a clumsy interface for adding exclusions because there exists no means for deleting them either individually or by using Ctrl or Shift with mouse clicks to pick just the ones on which you want to commit an action (Delete).

Ah, just figured it out. The UI for this program doesn't show objects until you hover the mouse cursor over them. I remember having a dialog presented to me but there was nowhere to click on until I happened to move the mouse to the upper left corner whereupon the text and it background color showed up; otherwise, you wouldn't know where to click.

For the exclusion dialog, the "x" icon doesn't show up until you happen to hover the mouse over the entry. I don't like this "hidden until hovered over" interface at all. There's no reason to set an object to visible=no unless that object is not applicable until a dependent object is selected. The object should remain visible=yes and when the mouse is hovered over the object then the object changes, like the text going bold and a different background color (usually darker) gets used to denote you can click on that object. Finding invisible objects makes for a poorly designed UI. In fact, this is the only application that has this "object is invisible until hovered over" feature in its configuration screens.

Of course, I didn't discover this until after already hitting "Reset to initial settings" (which, by the way, remains visable at all times rather than be invisible and you have to discover it) and recreating all the exclusions that I wanted to keep.
