Cannot detect hardrive for backup

When I try to backup a Lenovo PC the software does not detect the PC's hardrive, however when I restore it only detects the hardrive then, I have tried it with the UEFI turned off, aswell as the secure boot turned off but it still doesn't detect the hardrive when I want to backup.
What can I do to resolve the problem?
