Hello Dennis and Colin,
Thank you for posting and I appreciate your help Colin.
Dennis, I will do my best to help you with this issue.
The installation fails because there are previous Acronis program traces left on your system. Please try the clean up utility to get rid of them and get back to me with a new installation log in case it fails.
If you have additional questions, please let me know.
Thank you.

Hello Collin and Anton,
Thanks for trying to help me out. Anton, I tried the clean up utility. But after I tried to restart the computer, the system failed to so. I had to use the recovery console to restart the computer. Once again I tried to install the Acronis program. But no, the installation failed. See the log file. So what next?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Dennis!
Thank you for the information provided, we really appreciate your cooperation!
I've checked the log you've specified, and found that the following registry keys are preventing the product from being installed:
87354EF8730A-8729-7445-CC68-86627AC9
B3392D1d1AEF-E25B-9185-E750-A69F1F2C
Please go to Start -> Run, issue there "regedit" and hit Enter. This will get you to the registry. Find there the keys I've specified above, delete them and restart the installation process.
Should the problem remain, please gather the MSI log once again and provide us with it.
Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!
Thank you!

Hello Yana,
Thanks for your help. But no: both of the registry keys you mentioned were not found in the registry. So, do you have another option?
Thank you.

Is there someone who can help me please? I bought the product, but I can't use it. True Image 2010 was for me a very usefull program. Is True Image 2011 a waist of money?

Dennis,
You've given no information on what the exact problem is you are having, apart from the fact you 'can't use it' which to everyone here in cyberland could mean anything.
More information is required please.

Dennis,
If you have partition backups created by your 2010 version, why not restore your system back to the most current 2010 backup.
Afterwards, you can run the 2011 cleanup utility and see then try to iinstall the newest version fo 2011.

Grover,
Thanks for your help. When I installed the 2011 version the old 2010 version was deleted. So I thougt lets reinstall the 2010 version and then try to install the 2011 version again. But I could not reinstall the 2010 version also. I got the same message: see the logfile some replies above. Why not restore my system back to the most current 2010 backup with the rescue disk 2010? My most current 2010 backup is dated 2010-11-30. In december I've installed and deleted to many programs. So first I want to try all the options before I restore my system back to the most current backup.
