Cannot load Acronis True Image 2010 image

Thread needs solution

I am running TI 2010 on my Windows 7 64 bit system (this is final release software not RC).  I can create and restore full disk images without a problem but whenever I try to load an image the following occurs:-

  1. I selected an image created with TI 2010 and pressed Next
  2. Then I pressed Proceed.
  3. The Mount process begins and assigns a drive letter.
  4. The process completes successfully.
  5. In Explorer I can see that the image has loaded and it is the correct 80GB size.
  6. When I double click on the drive all I see is an AdobeTemp file which contains only a single 2KB file called afl.log
  7. As a first test I successfully restored the image in question so clearly it is a valid uncorrupted image.
  8. As a second test I used TI 2010 to mount an image created by TI 2009.  This produced identical results to steps 1 to 5 above.  However, this time when I double click on the drive I can see, and manipulate, all of my files.
  9. These tests show that the TI 2010 Mount process works correctly with images produced by TI 2009 but will not Mount an image which it has produced.

Can anyone please offer me assistance with this problem?

Is this build 5055 and an English version?

Is the 2010 image a complete partition or disk image that you are trying to mount?

I have the same OS etc as yours and haven't had a mounting problem with 2010 images.  I think I would look more at your imaging process than the mounting one, bearing in mind that it mounts 2009 images without a problem.

What happens if you try to Explore a 2010 image instead of mounting it?
