Cannot make a WinPE Image with Acronis True Image 2013 + WinPE ISO Builder

Thread needs solution

Hello,
It just dont works! I tried for hours now, read all the manuals, googlet like hell, etc. all i find is other people with the same problem. I think the whole process is too complicated, even for me, beeing a professional software developer...

I did exacty the same as written in the manual under 8.2.3.1 (in the german manual)
And it happens always the same:

"Fehler beim Erstellen des Images." (means something like Error Creating the Image )
There is no additional information here!! also not in the EventLog, or in the AcronisSystemREport, etc..

So what i did is reinstalled everything, and tried again, without success. then i tried several different things like not usiung the x86 PE but the IA64, then the error did not happen. but after burning the iso to a cd it didnt boot.

what im wondering as well is, why is the Target Path on the last screen of the WinPE ISO Builder before clicking Finish (see Page 202, Point 7 in the German Manual)
..\TrueImageHome\BartPE\ ?

This looks strange to me, because in the Manual it is written, that Version 2013 does not support BartPE under Windows 7!?

and looking into the folder, then there is a zip-File called WinPE.Zip.

I Would be happy if there is a solution to this problem, otherwise the Whole Purchase of those 2 Programs is useless to me.

The reason i purchased acronis was, that i read that it is able to make clones of my REVODRIVE 3.
But I havent heard of someone who actually really succeded, neader do i.

By the Way It did also not work on my laptop doing all the same procedures..

Andreas,

You can only use the WinPE x86 files to build the ISO. If you have all three items installed (2013, the 2013 Plus Pack, and the Windows 7 AIK), you should be able to create the WinPE ISO. As Syrob has pointed out, please take a look at http://forum.acronis.com/forum/35043.

Be sure to clean out your user profile temp folder of all files and folders that you may find there. Once you run the Acronis WinPE ISO builder it creates a couple of folders in the user profile temp folder, and if they exist when you try it again, it may fail if you do not delete them first.

If you would like to create a WinPE 4.0 (Windows 8) ISO, take a look at this post: http://forum.acronis.com/forum/35238.

When creating the WinPE 4.0 ISO you would need to have both the Windows ADK and the Windows 7 AIK installed.
