Cannot mount backup .tib file on Windows 10
When I attempt to mount one of my backup images (.tib files) that is an image of one single hard drive, it gives the following error:
Cannot initialize Backup Archive Explorer. Please reinstall True Image. (0x6400F8)
Tag = 0x77A5DDBA3199E061
Unknown status. (0x9)
code = 2),
$module = 0)
Tag = 0x77A5DDBA3199E062
The system cannot find the file specified (0xFFF0)
code = 80070002)

Any ideas? It's telling me to rinstall the Trye Image software, but I don't buy that (yet!) ...I've seen to many goofy errors with this software telling me to do this or that, and none of those things ever seem to work.
This is a mission critial backup and if this issue persists I'm going to have to look for another backup solutions. I was actuallyl just testing the software out. Had this been a Hard drive failure, I woudl have serious problems on my hand, so I'm trying to avoid that by doing a dry run and seeing if the software can really do what it advertises.

Thanks for the tip/work-around.
That seems useful and faster than mounting it as a drive when I am looking for "file x", but that doesn't explain why I can't mount the image. I would like to be able to mound the tib file as a drive as the software is supposed to support this.
Any ideas?
Thank you for your assistance.
Thanks,
Tom

It is supposed to mount in a read mode only situation.
Restart the installation file and you will be offered a repair mode. Try doing a repiar and see if that helps.
Only attempt to mount the necessary partitions. Don't try to mount the hidden and unneeded ones. The options provide the ability to mount only specific partitions.
