Cannot restore incremental file backup (most of the time)

Hello,

I extended an existing file backup (282 GB) by an incremental version 48 GB). I cannot access the recovery most of the time because of an error (translated from German) "Opening of backup x:\xxxx.tib failed. Assure that the backup location is available and contains all versions..."

Note that the backup is available and correct, since I can access it from WinPE, and the error sometimes goes away when I close True Image and start again.

The interesting thing is that each time I close and re-open TI, when I try to restore the backup, I get the error on another .tib file. Eventually, the error is gone. When I then close and open TI again, the error chain (close-open-recovery etc.) starts from the beginning.

My backup consists of 66 files for the first initial backup (split on DVD size into 4.7 GB chunks), named MeinBackup_full_b1_s1_v1.tib, MeinBackup_full_b1_s1_v2.tib, ... MeinBackup_full_b1_s1_v66.tib.

The incremental addon consists of 12 files MeinBackup_inc_b1_s2_v1.tib, ... MeinBackup_inc_b1_s2_v12.tib.

I think it is not acceptable for a backup software to behave that way. This is the most essential part, to be able to do a recovery of your files, I would say.
