Can't adjust field widths in file browser that runs in Acronis True Image on rescue DVD

While working my other problem (see my GTX-690 thread), I came across a very frustrating (mis)behavior of the file browser that the rescue DVD ATI uses.

When I clicked on the 'Browse' button, to search for backups, I found that the field widths of the Size and Date fields were too small to allow me to see the entire date string, or the entire Size entry. When I tried to use my mouse pointer to resize them, not only did they not resize, but they actually snapped to an even shorter (!) width.

And, by the way, this is not simply an annoyance. This behavior was preventing me from being able confirm attributes of the files I was looking at, so that I could make an informed choice.

Anyone else experience this?
