Can't back up disk anymore.

Thread needs solution

I am using latest version of Acronis 2010. I have backed up my disks to the same external HD
before with no problems. I decided to do a complete back up of my system disk and the following
comes up when the backup should be starting: Failed to run task scrips. Error2 The system cannot find the file specified. I have tried various ways to do it and even have tried to back up a single file with the same results. I would appreciate any suggestions or help. Thank you, Mike

For some reason, the Acronis Scheduler has lost track of the scripts.
Download the Acronis task schedule manager, zap your tasks, reschedule your tasks manually.

Thanks for reply Pat L, I have a couple of questions.
I don't know what zap your tasks means and this back up was one I was doing manually
, not a scheduled task. Sorry for my lack of terms, but can you please explain more? Thank you, Mike

Thank you for clarifying.
You are right, if you were backing up manually, zapping tasks doesn't bring anything.

Try uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling. Then, set up new tasks.
Make sure that the Acronis services are running in services.msc.

You should see the script for each task in the c:\programdata\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts folder, or under c:\documents and users\All Users\Application Data\ACronis....
The script is a file with key-like name. You can right click on it, choose edit and verify the script is corresponding to an existing task.
