Can't backup mapped network drives
Hi to all,
Having a strange problem with Acronis True Image Workstation version 9.
It's installed on a Vista machine which has 3x mapped drives (T, U and V) which are mapped to other machines on the network, of which 2x are Vista and 1x is XP. There is no file server present.
The drives are mapped using a Windows username and password which is set as part of the mapping process.
When creating a backup job at file level to back up some files from these mapped drives, I can browse the folders and select the files with no problem, but when the job runs, it fails on the mapped drives with an error as in the attached image.
I have tried changing the password on the drives, changing the account the job runs as but whatever is attempted the error appears and the job fails.
Can anyone shed any light as to what may be happening and how I can get these remote drives to back up?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
TMW

Hello Dimitry
i can´t believe this issue. We work with Acronis TI9 home maybe for 4 years and we never had such problems ... We have the mentioned problem now, with a enterprise solution (Acronis Advanced Workstation 10). I had open an call but they have no solution at this time. We can´t connect to a mapped drive. The only way to start a restore is to provide the hole UNC path plus the filename. Because file browsing with UNC path is not possible. Did you have any idea?

I have the same problem. I need to backup a mapped drive. I downloaded the text file that is a template for a pre-backup command. I have no idea what it means. Can you provide an example understandable by a mere human being that is not deeply into Windows?
It would be appreciated. Several attempts at interpretation have failed. And I can not understand why Acronis can not simply recognize a mapped drive. THIS is not rocket science.
