Can"t Clone My Hard Drive

Thread needs solution

Hello all,

I want to clone my old hard drive (40GB which has my bootable partition on it) to my new hard drive (60GB) and extend the partiton through out the whole drive.

I am using True Image 2010 (Build 6.053)

As soon as I extend the bootable partition, that (the target drive or one just copied on to) drive will not boot at all. If I clone the bootable partition onto the new drive and don't do any extending...it works just fine and the target drive boots up. The problem with that is now I have 20GB of unallocated space.

I need to use the entire drive.

I am running Windows XP Pro SP3 and all drives are IDE. I figure I would start with IDE and then work my way up to Sata.

Thanks,
finsfree

Hi,
Why don't you resize the unallocated space with Easeus Partition.
It's free, very efficient and easy to use.
So easy that even girls can use it.
