Can't Install Acronis True Image 10 on Win 7 32bit Pro

Thread needs solution

I'm trying to install True Image 10 on an ASUS F3S laptop running Win 7 32bit Pro.

When I do I get the error

Microsoft.VC80.CRt,publickeyToken="1fc8b3bta1c18e3b",type=Win32version"8.0.50727.762",processorArchitecture="x86"

I disable virus scanner and ran install as an administrator with the same result.

Your system would appear to be missing part of Microsoft VC Runtime.

Do you have Microsoft Studio Express or DOT net framework installed (you probablyhave the latter)?

Check that your Microsoft updates are working correctly, because this C++ module can cause this not to work correctly.

It is a common Microsoft problem, and the number of resolutions are about the same as the number of days in a year.

There are some other threads here with the same problem, Acronis in those threads has asked to be sent the NFO file

Thanks very much for your quick reply.. I did try to post the acronis install log but was getting an error message that the file was read only or something like a permission thing.. but that doesn't matter.

I have actually just completed a successful install of acronis true image 10.

I downloaded and installed VB Express and then did a successful install of Acronis.

So my problems are all gone... at least as far as backing up goes now..
