Can't register serial number in online account to enable support

Thread needs solution

When i try to register my serial number online it tells me that it is valid but it can not be registered and to contact support. I need to register it because I want to buy phone support. Can someone please help. Thank you.

The forum community would be more than happy to try and assist you with your issue(s).

If you believe you need phone support, I recommend emailing or chatting with Acronis Customer Support directly to get your registration issue resolved. This will be the quickest method to get your product properly registered if it cannot be done through your user account for whatever reason.

I have the same problem. Downloaded Acronis 2015 from the website, registered the product, got the serial number e-mailed to me but it won't let me activate.
Can't chat with support because it says my support has expired.

I'm ready to just give up. I don't see Acronis doing anything that Microsoft file back up doesn't do. And it's a lot easier to find the file I need on Microsoft back up.

Select Customer Care > Product Activation Issues, then use the chat feature. Chat Now

I figured out the problem: expired software.
Went back to Acronis 2012 which I don't think expires.

BTW, you can't access Chat unless you register and you can't register or activate, of course, if your program expired.

True Image 2015 doesn't expire. The cloud subscription is the only thing that expires.
When I followed Shadowsports' instructions all of the options became available.

I have version 11.7 and just bought and downloaded 17 however when i try to register the new serial number which is fine then the old 11.7 serieal number (i have 2) it rejects them or says they are invalid.  I queried Acronis and they sent me my serial numbers and they are the same, but the registration process rejects both

David it appears that you have Acronis Backup 11.7 which is a totally different product from True Image 2017. Do you Acronis Backup? If so you need to contact support to resolve your issue since 11.7 is business product.

Yes,  I see that now.  The upgrade button on my 11.7 took me to the Home site and Acronis True Image and I bought the wrong product.  Seems they should direct people upgrading a business product to a busness product site.

Hello Dave,

Could you please attach screenshots showing the upgrade button and the page you see when you click on it. I checked the upgrade scenario on my machine and the only available choice was to buy a corporate license.
