Can’t see internal GPT HDD when booting from Recovery Media

Thread needs solution

Am a long-time True Image user but am struggling with TI2013 and UEFI Systems.

Acronis TI2013 b,6514 Recovery Boot Disc (product not installed)
HP ENVY m6 Notebook PC
HDD: Hitachi 750GB SATA-3GB NTFS GPT (only drive installed)
Windows 8 64-bit Pro OEM

Problem:
I cannot see my internal HDD when I boot up using the Recovery Media.

Booting from same disc works ok on my older hardware, non-UEFI system, running Win 8 Pro 32-bit.
(The notebook is working ok and without issue but I am wanting to Image it.)

Grateful for any help to work through and resolve this.
Tks.

Hello It'sme,

thank you for your question.

I will surely help you.

The issue you are describing is a know one and was fixed in the latest version of bootable media. You can download the new media under your account. Even though the build number is the same we have incorporated the hotfix into it.

Please use the following instructions if you have trouble downloading Acronis bootable media. Please make sure the product is registered in your Acronis web account.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.

Thank you Anna - downloading and using the bootable version from my account resolved the issue. Obviously that is a more up to date version despite being labelled as the same version as I have installed.

Ps. Sorry for responding so late. As someone said.. Life keeps getting in the way!

Hi It'sme,

glad to know that everything works fine for you!

Thank you.

I created recovery media today. However, despite my PC BIOS seeing the GPT drive, the recovery media cannot. Has anything changed? Rgds -John-
