Can't stop auto backups
How can I get Acronis to never do an auto backup or scheduled backup? I only do full backups of my C drive only, never incremental. Ive tried to delete the offending backup name from the list to no avail.
Many times when I revert to an older image I especially run into this problem. I'm not even sure why this is happening. When I create a new backup, I'm careful to choose "no schedule", yet sometimes it acts like it's on a schedule.
Acronis scheduler helper is disabled in startup. But TIB mounter monitor is enabled.

Very helpful info! I just did a backup using the "later" option. After I hit later. I chose backup now. What happens if I don't choose the later option? It seems if I choose no schedule then that should take care of it.
I'm wondering if on the backups that I did in the past where I didn't choose the later option if that's why when I restored an old image, that Acronis seemed to be confused and started backing up old tasks. Is that why you use the later option?
If I understand this correctly auto cleanup, deletes older backups. If that's the case, I definitely don't want that happening. I want to delete old backups that i choose.
When I backup I always start a new task, because if I choose that same task in the future, I can't name the backup file the way I want to. Acronis names it the way it wants to. I don't assume there's a way to prevent it from adding _full_b1_s1_v1 to the name. I prefer my own naming system.

The above link explains more abou t custom names but avoiding the suffix _full_b1_s1_v1 is not an option and if your remove it, the backup is not restorable as it is corrupt.
The backup later option is for when you want to create a non-scheduled backup. If you do not use the later opton, you are commiting to a backup you may not want at that partifular moment.
