"Catch 22" with Acronis 2009 boot disc and USB keyboard
Thread needs solution
When the Acronis 2009 boot disc is run, one is given a choice of running either the standard mode with USB drivers or the "safe" mode without them. However to select either option one must click on it with a mouse or select it with the keyboard. With a USB keyboard and mouse one can't select the option to mount the USB drivers until the USB drivers are mounted! I ended up dredging up an old PS2-type keyboard from the basement for the sole purpose of pushing "Enter", after which Acronis mounted the USB drivers and I was able to use my USB keyboard.
Is there some more practical way of getting around this problem?
