changing backup destination
I'm currently backing up to a networked drive. For various reasons the letter of the drive has to change every now and then so this means I need to update the destination. It could, for example, start off as S:\\acronis\backup and then have to be changed to R:\\acronis\backup.
I'm using an incremental backup scheme. However whenever I change the destination, it performs a full backup rather than creating the next incremental backup in the chain. Is there anyway I can change this so the default behaviour is to perform an incremental, even if the destination has been changed?

The drive letter and disk ID are always part of the task script, as Tuttle says, a change of location (drive letter change) will always result in a new full image no matter what the stage the original task is at.
The only possible way around this would be to run a pre image script that somehow aliased the drive letter or temporarily changed the drive letter.
***EDIT****
Grover's reply below, reminded me, it is possible to make your external/network drives always report the same driver letter when attached in Windows. It is also possible if you have assigned your network drive a static IP address, to point the task at an IP address.

Is it possible for the network disk to be reassigned a higher drive letter so the insertion of other devices into the network computer does not force a change of drive letter of the storage disk. In this manner, the backup task could point to drive letter x and the network disk would always be drive X.

Thanks to everyone for their comments. I will see if I can try to keep the drive letter permanent by using a letter near the top of the alphabet.
