CHANGING "file.ISO" DOESN'T HAVE ANY EFFECT - or it looks like, that it doesn't have
Using Win7, WinIso and Oracle VM Virtual Box Manager
At the beginning I create a new virtual machine with the file DOS-5_0.iso. It works everything OK.
Then I open the file DOS-5_0.iso in WinIso and I change Autoexec.bat, delete some files and add a new directory with a few files.
I save everything and try this new ISO with virtual machine and I find out, that everything is the same as in the very begining: autoexec.bat isn't changed, files I've deleted are still present and new directory and new files I've added can't bee seen.
Likely my below suppositions are just an empty imagination, but I don't have any other idea.
It looks like all ISO files have double record, identical at the beginning. When I change something, the first record remains invisible (hidden) and untouched, but the second changes. Changes (just the second record) are visible just with WinIso, but for burning CD or making a virtual machine is used only the first, intact record?
Who would know?
I've tried many times, with different programs for editing ISO files, have been editing many ISO files, I've created many virtual machines and burned a few CDs too, looking for informations on net, but didn't find any reason, why changes on burned CD or in virtual machine are not visible.
Does anyone know, what's going wrong?
