Clean XP install, how do I restore remainder of data and programs?

Thread needs solution

Okay I've looked at Grover's tutorials, and all I can find is how to restore EVERYTHING to a completely blank disk. I actually need to do a clean install of XP on my disk, and then I'd like to restore my computer back to how it was (data, programs, drivers, etc). What method in Acronis True Image Home 2009 do I use for this? I'm sure someone has already posted in this forum about this, but I couldn't find a search function for the forum, though I could just be dumb and blind. Any help would be grrreatly appreciated!

Hello Justin,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

If you have the entire system partition backup file, you are able to restore your system partition as it is, i.e. you can recover the operating system with all your applications and data. Also you are able to recover specified files and folders (you can restore your data files/folders separately, in independence with the operating system).
You are unable to restore your applications separately, it is impossible to move the programs from your old operating system to a new one.
Even if you try to recover all files that are related to the applications, you will be unable to modify the registry, that should be changed in accordance to the architecture of the programs.

If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.
