Clone BitLocker Drive

Thread needs solution

I haven't been able to find any info on TI 2014 and if you can Clone a drive if it has been encrypted with BitLocker? I did see where earlier versions could not make a clone, but didn't know if they've fixed that yet.

Also, just to make sure I'm reading things correctly. TI 2014 will do all normal Backups on a drive that has been encrypted with BitLocker.

Thanks.

Yes, ATI running from Windows will backup your disk, but it will store the decrypted information in the backup archive. When your restore that image, you will probably have to repair the startup of the computer, and then reencrypt the restore partition.

Alternatively, you can use the recovery CD to clone the drive, or do a sector by sector backup. The drawback here is that the size of the image is much larger than a backup in Windows because all sectors (even free space allocated sectors) are included.
