Clone stalls
I am trying to clone one hard drive to another. I go thru the steps in the Clone setup(pick source drive, pick destination drive, etc.) and restart as directed. The Acronis is loading text appears and then nothing ever happens again.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi MacKenzie Mercer, Sam Wolf,
this behavior can indicate incompatibility of Acronis Loader with your hardware.
Please check if cloning can be started from a Linux-based bootable media:
http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2015/index.html#2…
If it doesn't help, please create a WinPE-based bootable media.
Thank you,

I think I have the same problem. I believe it started with a recent, big Windows 10 update.
It used to work before.

Now using Acronis 2015, I have been seeing this problem since Acronis 2008. I would plug in my backup drive to the USB port and Windows would see it just fine. Could read/write to it with other apps but Acronis just wouldn't admit it exists.
Latest incarnation of this problem is quite severe since November upgrade of Windows 10. I plug in the backup drive, it is assigned drive letter E:, and I can start the backup. After about 1 hour everything stops and I see "failed to find the specified path" message.
In the past I could reach success after one (or at most 2) retries, unplugging/replugging the hard drive, etc. Not any more. No successful backups since the upgrade. Any comment Acronis?

My Windows 10 Pro machine did another update again last night (specifically Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems [KB3116908]) and now I can clone my disk with Acronis True Image 2015 (18.0.0.6613) again.
