Cloned drive using True Image 2013, now no software will update

I'm running a PC with Windows Vista Premium Home Edition 64 bit. I cloned the old hard drive (about 6 months ago) using True Image 2013 and now none of my software will update. Windows Update tells me the service is not running, and I have gone into services and turned it off and on. The computer will not allow me to install updates manually either. Also, my other software, such as iTunes and Adobe Acrobat, will not update.

PLEASE HELP!
