Cloned or Backup/Restored Fedora 11 Linux HDD does not boot
Thread needs solution
I am using Windows Acronis True Image 11 Home. I have tried cloning a working Fedora 11 Linux HDD using two methods. In both cases, the Linux HDD is attached to the Windows PC using a USB-to-SATA adapter.
1. Backup Linux HDD to a .tib file, then restore to a new HDD.
2. Use the Clone feature with both existing Linux HDD and new HDD attached to the Windows PC simultaneously.
In both cases, when I then try to boot from the cloned HDD, I get a CRC error and sometimes the Kernel Panic message. It is as if the cloned HDD is not a perfect image of the original working Fedora 11 Linux HDD.
Any ideas? Thanks!
