Cloning 2TB Hard Drive changes to 1TB

Thread needs solution

I tried to clone a 500GB Hard Drive to a 2TB Hard drive using the boot disk. When I got to the proceed page, the size of the 2TB Drive changed to 1TB. After I formatted the drive it returned to 2TB. This happened twice with two similar drives. Is this a known fault or have I done something wrong?

What version and build of True Image is this? Was the cloning process successful - did the drive boot? It could be that True Image doesn't know how to handle a 2Tb drive. Do the clone again and afterwards, use the free Partition Wizard to regain the missing space.

When you get to the proceed (summary or finish) page, it tells you what is going to happen--not what has happened. Did you proceed? Also prior to that page is the destination disk page. Did you right click on the drive selection and change or check whether the partition was getting the full extended size? Formatting is not necessary. The clone works without the drive being formatted or partitioned.

You may also want to download the iso file from you registration page. Perhaps its newer drivers will enable the CD to see your drive in full size.

You can simulate as much as you wish up to pressing the Proceed button.
