Cloning is backwards and confusing
First, it would seem one would want to clone the -installed- drive to the attached USB drive. That's the way the competitors' programs do it.
Now for the confusing part: The instructions say "The cloning should be done from Acronis Bootable Media (created on CD/DVD or Flash)." If that's the case, WHY are we able to initiate a Clone from the program running on our PC? (In which case if you do it endlessly reboots your machine). Why doesn't it say "Please create Acronis Bootable Media and initiate Clone from there"?
Sure, RTFM, but honestly you don't need to punish us by allowing us to try and perform actions that should seem to work but don't. A simple message would save much frustration.

Don't know about the Windows 8 versions but many prior versions of the Lenova/IBM Thinkpad computer have used special disk head geometry and the cloning will not properly when the target disk is placed into an USB enclosure.
Just because the competition does it a different way, that does not make it right or wrong--only differently.
