Cloning HDD to another system with dissimilar hardware question.

Thread needs solution

Hello community, i have to clone an HDD to 5 computers with dissimilar hardware (motherboards and GPU), for what i read, ATIH 2012+Plus pack can do this using the Universal Restore feature, but i have a question:

Is Universal Restore only usable using the Restore Image option or it is also included in the Clone Disk option?

As far as i know, if Universal Restpore can only be used using the Restore Image option, i need to backup the fresh installed system to an image in another HDD and then create a bootable CD-DVD to boot the destination PC and restore from it.

Take my advice and do a full disk Backup and Restore, not a Clone. The end result will be the same, but it is safer and better. Do a full disk Backup to an external HD is an easy way to do this.

I don't think Universal Restore is available during Clone. It makes logical sense that it would not be, as Clone is intended as a one-time exact disk-to-disk copy.

Before performing the Universal Restore, you need to assemble all required drivers, in uncompressed .inf format, into a folder that can be accessed during the Restore (e.g. on a flash drive or on the external HD containing the .tib backup archive.
