Cloning HDDs

Thread needs solution

Up until now, I have been successsfully using Acronis True Image 2011 for cloning XP, Vista and W7 hard disks. I note that this version doesn't work with Windows 8 if it the drive is partitioned GPT.

Before I buy ATI 2014, can I be assured that this software will successfully clone a Windows 8 GPT partitioned disk?

Thank you.

So... I take it from the responses to my post above, that Acronis 2014 does NOT cover cloning of a Windows 8 HDD with GPT partitioning...
Thanks.

Roger,

I have been cloning Windows8 GPT/UEFI setups, backing up and restoring with ATI 2013. I have not used 2014 yet. Why don't you try the software before you buy?

No problem cloning my boot SSD to external SSD (Windows 7 64bit) with True Image 2013. Will not clone with 2014 unless I do it from a bootable media DVD. (This isn't practical for everyday use). Tech Support is useless. Doesn't fully read email responses, asks same questions over and over, and is just a waste of time.
