Cloning a Laptop Hard Disk
Thread needs solution
According to to the following knowledge-Base article, when cloning a laptop hard drive, the new disk needs to be inside the laptop, and the old (source) disk needs to be connected externally. This is counter intuitive, and the opposite of how I have cloned disks in the past (usually the source disk remains inside the box, and the new disk is connected via USB).
Why is it different for laptops?
