Cloning Primary HDD to SSD failure.
While using the clone disk drive utility in Acronis True Image Home 2011 to clone my primary HDD to a new OCZ Vetex 2 240GB SSD, the operation fails after I choose the source and destination drives and click on "Proceed". I get the following error messages:
"Failed to prepare operations. Error code: 9 'File system error is found' with extended code: 458,780 'Run list corrupted' Event code: 0x000A0001+0007001C
"Operation has completed with errors." Event code: x013C0005
A search of the Knowledge Base for these event codes returns no articles. I've used Acronis to clone my three other PC's ( 2 laptops, 1 desktop) without a problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Thanks, JBJ

Pat,
Checkdsk reported no errors on the source or destination drives. THe SSD is mounted externally via e-sata.

The right way to do the cloning is to place the SSD in place (assuming this will be your system disk) on the same connectors as the old disk, and put the old disk on some other USB connection. eSata might be tricky, you will have to try.
Then boot the system on the Acronis CD and do the cloning from the disk. Pay extra attention to disk of origin and of destination because the CD shows other labels than Windows.
Once the cloning is complete, remove your old disk and reboot.
If the cloning doesn't work, try the backup/restore way.
