Cloning single drive installed as RAID to single drive Acronis 2011 Home

Thread needs solution

I have a computer that was factory setup with RAID turned on. There is only one drive and has never had more than one drive. If I turn RAID off in the BIOS, it won't boot.

My problem is, I am trying to clone this drive with 2011 Home. I can select the source, but when trying to select a target, all drives are greyed out. I pulled the drive and cloned it with a second computer.

Is there any way to clone this drive without pulling it out?

If you turn RAID off in the BIOS, Windows will not boot because the type of controller presented to Windows has changed, and the drivers for it are not present in the installed copy of Windows.
