Cloning SSD to SSD After New SSD Will Not Boot

Thread needs solution

I am wanting to clone my 128GB SSD that is my OS drive to a 256 GB SSD to have a bigger drive for my OS drive. I run the Clone Drive Wizard and afterward the drive I cloned to will not boot. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you perform the clone when booted from the TI Recovery CD?

Which version of Windows?

Is your master disk formated as GPT or MBR?

Did you try using your Windows Repar disk and perform a Startup repair?

Note: only the new clone should  be attached  on first boot following clone.

Alsok, clone  should be attached to t he same connectors as original.

TI Recovery CD? You mean the Windows Install CD?

I have Startup Repair but that does not work.

Windows 7

MBR

I am connecting the clone to the exact same connectors as the original.

NO, I was referring to the user created Acronis TrueImage 2016 Recovery CD.

This can be created via the TrueImage Tools menu (Rescue Media Builder)

This comes in two versions.

The standard is the

Acronis Bootable Rescue Media which is  build on Linux software.

Or version

WinPE-based Media with ACronis Plug-in

which is Windows based Recovery CD.
