Cloud backups - Only new files

Thread needs solution

Hi guys ,

I have Acronis TrueImage and Acronis Cloud Storage.

What I do is backup my files to a folder on a schedule, and I then want to upload this folder to my cloud storage.

What I want to know, is there a way to get Acronis to synchronise the folders.

I currently have a 5 file incremental backup running, which it will store 2 versions for. Obviously when a new file is created, I want it to upload ONLY the new file. Then, when Acronis deletes any of the files, I then want it to delete them from the cloud storage, the next time it connects to do the upload.

Is this possible?

I'm not sure, in my mind I think it could be done using the sync option, but in a complicated way.

Why not run two tasks, one that backs up your files to the folder and then a cloud task that backs up that folder, the cloud will allow you to recover versions, so in essence it would work similar to incremental backups to a local drive and you would recover the same way. Alternatively you could just duplicate your file backup task to the cloud.

Sorry thinking out loud a bit there, to auto delete the file, I think you would need to mark your local folder as a sync folder, then mark that folder via Sync in the cloud as shareable. Unfortunately I no longer have access to the cloud option, so I can't experiment for you.

Okay, I think I got that, I'll have to give that a go!

How do I sent them as a sync folder, can you remember?
