Computer crashed; Acronis won't recover

Thread needs solution

I followed the instructions for restoring: Clicked on "Backup and recovery," chose the backup file I wanted, clicked on it, and program said it was recovering--but it was interrupted by screen saying "Specify the location of volume 1." I assumed this meant the backup file itself. Hit "Browse" and nothing happened. After 15 minutes still nothing happening. My panic is growing. I've been backing up religiously on Acronis for years and never had to restore, until now--and now I can't. Appreciate any advice.

Follow instructions #3 at this link to restore drive C. You can also restore the entire backup via item #2

The restore is best done when booted from the TI bootable media CD.

The browse for backup may take a minute or so but after that time has elapsed, try clicking again.
