Computer runs like 12x faster since I disabled Acronis Online Backup by logging out
I thought this would be of interest to you, I know it was of interest to me, my Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate machine has been sluggish the past couple of months, with no clear indication as to why, and last night I logged out of Acronis Online backup, which as far as I know I wasn't even using to back my system up, and today my computer runs really fast!
I have a feeling maybe this had something to do with wireless network latency but I don't know how to prove it.
Could you help me out in understanding this? I usually backup to an external hard drive, but maybe unbeknownst to me it was backing up over the internet and really slowing everything on my system down with the ultra slow connection to the internet that I have (3 Megabits per second).
Note that my intent here is to make Acronis work better for it's users, not to make Acronis look bad, or do any damage to the reputation of their Online backup service. My situation is different from others in that I have a slow connection.
Does anyone else have this issue as well?
Thank you,
Andrew J. Leer
