Configuration Data Corrupt
I have five registered licensed Acronis products, one of which is Acronis TI 2010. The windows installed version suddenly decided it would not launch (it crashed). After repeated identicle crashes, I performed the needed backup successfuly with the ISO image.
I decided to uninstall the 2010 TI product (Build 7160) but the product won't uninstall (Tried windows uninstaller and REVCO). I get the message "The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel" But Acronis appears to offer no support for this product, and my search on the forum and knowledge base were unsuccessful.
Can anyone help me get Acronis TI 2010 build 7160 uninstalled?
Thanks,
Jake

Since you have a backup you can try things with some measure of confidence that you can always get back to where you are even if it isn't the greatest place to be.
Common trick is to reinstall the product on top of itself hoping it will write missing or bad information so you can uninstall. If product says it's already installed then that won't work.
You can try to install another version on top of it. Now this isn't really a great idea but it might work.
Try REVCO in Advance mode or whatever it's called and search the registry for any Acronis entries. Somebody mentioned this in an earlier post.
I believe Acronis does have a cleanup utility for installs (their uninstall routines aren't perfect by any measure). Try to find it, I have no idea where they are located. You might search their Knowlege Base for your problem.
