Confused Noob, so many tutorials but which one?

Thread needs solution

Hi People,

I have been looking for a solution for some time for my backups and hope this is the one.

I am happy with my use of Acronis TI for creating a clone of my system drive, that works perfectly.

Now what I hope to achieve is something a bit more advanced.

I run 2 main drives in my machine with a few movies and a few old TV shows. The content is not relevant here..

I also run a NAS where I keep pretty much everything. The issue I have is that my media server struggles to server files from the NAS so I keep the HDD's full of media files I serve the network.

So what I would ideally like to do is;

Automatically copy the files from my 2 media drives (lets call them G: & H:) across to the NAS as exact copies.

In a way that it only copies new files, and doesn't remove any files from anywhere at all.

How would I be able to set this up with Acronis TI?

Well TI creates backup image archives which essentially are compressed single file images of the data of your choice. It sounds like you wish to make exact copies of your media files which is fine as those files being already compressed will not compress further and usually run slowly under the TI app.

You might wish to consider Windows Sync Toy as that tool will do exactly what you have in mind. Here's a link:
