Connect to the Internet with an Ethernet cable
For a time I was taking advantage of the limited online backup Acronis offered, but I was often getting errors or timeouts, so I simply deleted that backup from my list.
I don't know if that has anything to do with this error I have begun to see with regularity throughout the day: "Connect to the Internet with an Ethernet cable". I subsequently get another message saying that the backup is about to fail unless I take action, and finally a notice telling me that the backup has failed.
I am only doing local backups now, nothing online. I have an excellent high-speed Internet connection. all of my local backups run just fine.
Can some wise person tell me what this error is all about and how I may fix it? I have searched for this error both inside and outside of Acronis website, and cannot find it.
Actually, I am seeing this on two different computers that are both running ATI 2014.
I would certainly appreciate some assistance.
Thank you!

Thanks, Pat.
Strange I did not get a notice of your reply.
I did that BUT - I saved the backup settings and recovered them with the new install. Not a bright thing to do perhaps, but I was trying to save myself the work of re-doing the whole list all over again.
This is happening with BOTH computers that are running ATI 2014.
Any way to examine the scheduler without having to redo the whole list of backups?

What happens if you stop the Windows services for Nonstop backups;
and if not using the SynAgent, you can also stop this service.
I run with both disabled as I do not use either.

Grover:
Thanks for the suggestions!
What *are* the Windows services for Non stop backups?
I am guessing that SynAgent is for Synching?
I don't use that either and could certainly stop it.

From the "Run" command or command prompt, type
SERVICES.MSC /S (press Enter)
Click on Acronis Nonstop Backup Service
Stop the service and change the startup type to disabled.
---------------------------------------
Click on Sync Agent Service
Stop the service and change the startup type to disabled.
-----------------------------------------------
This should not provide any adverse effect.

Ah! Ok, great. I can also do that using my buddy autoruns.exe!
Thank you so much for your help, and I LOVE the Grover's stuff which I will explore in depth over the next few weeks.
