Consolidation
Hi there.
I've got a number of full, incremental and partial (?) backups of a soon-to-be decommissioned workstation. The backups were created with True Image Home 2010 on said workstation. Here's a list of the files on my NAS:
287G Jan 29 2017 PC C+D3.tib 4.9G Jan 29 2017 PC C+D32.tib 213M Jan 29 2017 PC C+D33.tib 7.3G Mar 13 2017 PC C+D34.tib 80G Mar 13 2017 PC C+D34_8F6F1003-2524-4E3C-B4D6-532C792702431.tib 38G Feb 22 2015 PC C+D34_978D09B6-9987-45C6-A3D6-C04C1AC3E1841.tib 348M Feb 22 2015 PC C+D34_978D09B6-9987-45C6-A3D6-C04C1AC3E1842.tib 76M Feb 22 2015 PC C+D34_978D09B6-9987-45C6-A3D6-C04C1AC3E1843.tib 376G Dec 28 2014 PC C+D34_BC53A2F5-C507-4CCB-BD75-518F500C61821.tib 11G Oct 20 2016 PC C+D34_D88D45C3-8C77-487C-A837-AA72B3FC90E81.tib 12G Jul 17 2017 PC C+D35.tib 12G Dec 8 2013 PC C+D4.tib
First, is it possible to consolidate all of these backups into a single full backup that will include all files? Do consolidated backups retain multiple versions of a single file, or is it simply the most recent version?
What's the skinny on the backups with GUID filenames? Are they backups that were interrupted mid-stream? Two of them are large enough to be full backups, but I need to know if they can be recovered.
When I try to open some of the backups, True Image asks for a missing file, but doesn't give an indication what file name it's looking for. Is there a way to determine this?
Thanks!
Brad
