Constant reboot with TI 2010 (latest) and Dell Inspiron 560 using boot media

Thread needs solution

Good evening. Whnever I, or my family, get a new PC, I take an image once everything is installed. This way I can restore when the usual Windows slow down occurs (or my son wrecks the system).

So, installed TI 2010 on a Dell Inspiron 560MT (running Windows 7, 64 bit) - and activated the boot recovery loader. I then attempted to go into this via F11, however whenever I did this the software crashed and the PC rebooted. Thinking it might be down to a Win7 issue etc, I created a bootable image that works on all my other PCs, and booted from that. Same thing happened.

I was able to create an image using a full backup with TI installed - however I do prefer having the option of running it from outside of the OS - just in case I end up with a non-bootable PC - but at the moment it seems that TrueImage 2010 doesn't work on a Dell Inspiron 560.

Any suggestions gratefully recieved!

Hello Mark,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your message. I will definitely help you with resolving this issue.

It is caused by a known issue in our software but we will fix it in the next build which we are planning to release soon. As a workaround, I will send you a private message with a download link for the custom bootable media in ISO format, so that you can burn it and boot from it. I am sorry for any inconvenience.

Please note that Acronis True Image 2011 Home does not have this problem.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
