Constant update (every second or 2) to \TrueImageHome\SystemState\SystemState.xml
Hi,
I have noticed that even when idle, my system still access drive "C" and when I run the process monitor it appears that the culprit is Trueimagemonitor who creates and writes to \TrueImageHome\SystemState\SystemState.xml every second or two.
My C: drive is a SSD and I really would rather not waste the access on this type of thing, I don't even know why it's updating the file, because I don't have nonstop backup running.
Is there a way to move this file or to stop it from writing and re-writing every second or two?
Brian

Hello Brian,
Thank you for finding time to join us and share your concerns, I will gladly address them.
TrueImageMonitor.exe - Acronis True Image Monitor that provides the interface between running Acronis True Image tasks and the user. It allows to observe the tasks progress and cancel the running tasks. It is started when a user logs into the system and terminates when the user logs off. This program is not required by Acronis True Image to perform its tasks, and can be terminated if you think it occupies too much memory, but you will loose the ability to control running Acronis True Image tasks.
Actually, TrueImageMonitor.exe is not writing actual data on your SSD. Sometimes it just sits in the background. So you are safe to leave your system without further changes after stopping the process.
Feel free to disable unneeded processes from running using MSCONFIG utility. Please check this guide for more details.
Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!
Thank you!

I have a weekly set of backup jobs that are scheduled. If I disable TrueImageMonitor.exe, will they still be scheduled?

Hello Brian,
Thank you for your question.
Sure they will still be scheduled. Disabling TrueImageMonitor.exe, as mentioned above, doesn't affect the tasks running or scheduled. You will only loose control running Acronis tasks.
You can find more detailed list of Acronis processes in the Task manager in this KB article.
Let us know if anything is still looks confusing, we'll be glad to clarify!
Thank you!

There appear to be two entries
One titled TrueimageMonitor.exe and the other called SAOB monitor, but both appear to use trueimagemonitor.exe. Which one, or both should I cause not to load so that I can still use TIHome but not have the SSD accessed every few seconds (see the initial request).
Sorry to keep asking these questions, but I wanted to be sure before I acted.

Actually it appears that the SAOB one is the online backup portion (which I don't currently use). Would it hurt to disable one and see if it changes anything, then disable the other? Or at they a "matched set"?

Also, what would be the downside to disabling afcdpsrv.exe? Isn't this just the non-stop backup part? I don't use that either, I only run weekly full (and incremental) backups scheduled by TIHome's panel.

Yes, afcdpsrv is a part of non-stop backup. (also http://forum.acronis.com/forum/8142 )
