Copy logical partition with two sub-partitions to SSD

Thread needs solution

I tried to copy a logical partition with two partitions in it to a SSD with already two primary partitions on it. I expect to get a third logical partition (I check this in the wizard) but after processing I get two new primary partitions (the old primary partitions are there too). What goes wrong?

SimonL,

I am not sure I understand your process accurately. At any rate, if you have trouble getting the target partitioning you want, you can partition the SSD the way you want with some other tool ( eg diskpart with the Windows installation DVD) before restoring each partition separately.
