Copying a recovery set to another drive
Have my computer backed up on a 1 tb. drive in my computer, the drive is getting old so I coped the contents of the old drive , the back up files, to a USB Hd. I used drag and drop is this kind of copying going to create a file that I can get a recovery from? Thanks Roger

Tib files obey standard NTFS rules and copying tib files shouldn't be any more of an issue than copying any other files. However, ATI's database of backups might not be aware if you move files or add them to a machine that has ATI installed. To be sure it is aware of such changes, you can browse for backups from within ATI and add any backups that ATI doesn't have included on the list of ones it knows about -- alternatively you can delete from ATI's list, within ATI, any backups that it thinks are still around but have been moved or deleted outside of ATI.
Using ATI to validate a tib will ensure that the file has the same content as when it was created -- it will verify the checksums that are inbedded inthe tib, which were created when the file was created.
