Create Shortcurts to frequently used image restore tasks

Thread needs solution

I have to frequently restore certain hdd images on a test PC. Is there any way to create a script/shortcut that saves me from going through the endless wizard over and over again?

I just want to "click & go" in order to restore an image.

Your help would be very much appreciated.

Hello Gunnar,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]

What is the exact title of the program you are using? If you use a Home version of Aronis True Image, it is impossible to create a shotcut for the recovery operation. In Acronis Backup&Recovery you create a recovery task and execute the operation manually (you should only select the task and choose the Start option).

Thank you.

i install acronis backup and recovery 10 to my server recently. I have created backup now i want to create bootable media for both the license server and the remote servers also but i could not. Can anybody tell me how to go about it please

You can create a task in ATI and then a batch file to run it with Trueimagehomeservice.exe. Bsically youo'd us e the same command that you'd use for windows Task Scheduler. Lot s of stuff on it in the old forums. Shame that Acronis didn't port naything over to the new forums.

@Scott: A step-by-step example would be great. This is what I get when trying to search the old forum: http://screencast.com/t/K0j6uy1IvArQ

Hello Gunnar,

Thank you for your response.

You are unable to apply this script to a recovery operation. You can apply it to a backup task only.

To perform the backup please do the following:

Please create a text document by means of Notepad. Place the following string inside of it:

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageHomeService.exe" /script:"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts\CURRENT SCRIPT.tib.tis"

Find the following path at your computer: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts

Find the script that you created just now. Copy the appropriate value (for example, B44A95F2-BA29-43C3-9F88-C2F566E5BCC1) and place it into the Notepad document instead of "CURRENT SCRIPT".

Save the file to your desktop and rename it. The file should have .bat extension.

Click on the file and check the functionality of Acronis software.

Thank you.

I would need such functionality for *Recoveries*. Too bad that such important feature is not included even in a v10.
