creating backups using the TI Rescue CD
Hello
I currently have TI2009
I would just like to know if there is any difference creating backups with the rescue CD than using windows, apart from that you cannot appear to schedule a backup if you use the rescue CD.

I agree with MudCrab. Generally my backups are made daily as scheduled in Windows. Doing restores I use the CD. Either way it has been successful.

Hello Carl,
Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/ | Acronis True Image Home 2009]]
One more thing that can confuse you while using Acronis bootable CD/DVD is different drive assignment. Acronis Bootable Rescue Media (full version) can display drive letters different from those you see in Windows, because Linux has its own rules of drive naming. Such a situation usually may arise after using partitioning software. This is absolutely normal and there is no need to worry about the difference in drive letters assignment.

That feature has be asked for by several others .... it is "in the works". But if you check the forum regularly, you will see which topics/messages are "new" to you. I know, it's not the same thing - but give them time.

Sure thing DwnNDrty.
Yes i did see the other posts about this just after i had posted this.
Did they have to set this forum up quickly because wilder's had to close, you would think this new forum would have all the same things as the previous forum before they started with this forum.
But what do i know.........
But i will be checking the forum regulary anyway.
Thanks DwnNDrty..
