date 2007-11-1

Thread needs solution

Whenever ati 2011 starts @ windows7 start-up i get the date on the backup file 2007-11-1. However, if ati starts after start-up then the date on the backup file is current. FYI the backup drive is a network drive from buffalo ls-chl. TIA

I suppose you are using the @date@ tag in the file name schema?

There are a few corner cases where these tags are not working correctly that I know of, and you might have uncovered another one. I ended up stopping using any of these tags and found the backup chain operations to be much more reliable. It is also easier to track which backup is a full versus a partial.

Not sure about @date@tag. Not something i remember typing in. Setup the backup using their suggested backup option, seems to me it was their default. Still have the date failure on my network drive. Think my ati failure asking for the next backup device may be connected :-(. Any suggestions? TIA

My suggestion would be to:
- move the TIB files you want to keep to another directory,
- delete the backup task (not remove)
- set up a new backup task. When you set it up, click on the destination, browse to your destination, double click until you have opened your target folder and choose a simple name for your backup task (like "SystemImage" or something). Let ATI number the files as it does the backups.

I'm having the same issue. The date of my backup file is 4 months prior to current run date. I've deleted the task and added back several times. My backup file name does not contain any dates, simply is 'Files Backup'. I've noticed this occuring since the last update. Right now I'm on Update 2 (build 6868)

Are you using consolidation?
