Delete Image

Thread needs solution

I deleted an image Using the TrueImage 2010 bld 7046.

I went to the Recovery Page, selected the image, did a rt-clk and selected "Remove".
The Image was removed and the original file was removed. The Recovery page does not show the image.

The Home page, however, shows the image, grayed out, but with the "Update" button active.

How can the ghost image on the Home page be removed?

Hello Milt,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.
To resolve the issue try to close the program and launch it again. Try to reboot the computer and see what happens. If the issue remains, please perform the below steps:
- Download a special Acronis utility;

- Start the Command Prompt from Start -> Programs -> Accessories menu;

- Run the following commands in the folder you saved the file to:

schedmgr task zap

This should delete all Acronis tasks on the PC. You should manage your tasks from the scratch.

Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.

Sorry - This is not completely clear.

The actual file is gone. The "Remove" command did remove the data file. It is the entry on the home page under "Recent Backups" that remains.

Should I run the program in the directory, now empty, that originally contained the data file?

Is the command to be executed exactly as shown above: "schedmgr task zap"?

Regards,

Milt

Hello Milt,

Thank you for your response.

- Please download Acronis utility and save it to C drive (C:\schedmgr);

- Start -> Run -> Type "cmd" command (without quotas);
- Type "cd.." command (without quotas). Enter;
- The path will become C:\
- Run the following commands:
schedmgr task zap (it will be C:\ schedmgr task zap). Hit Enter.
Please do not hesitate to ask additional questions if the provided information is not clear or you need a further assistance.
Thank you.
