Deleting Backup Versions from Win and irritating Acronis - Question

Thread needs solution

In the past it was no problem deleting selected incremental backups or full backups.

In 2013, 2012 and 2011 the internal True Image database started handling everything (and maybe sometimes too much).

Several questions:

1. How can I resynchronize the internal database to the available .tib files when the user or I have deleted an unnecessary file (to clean up disk space) the easy way?

2. Why is it so difficult to get to the timeline of supposedly available backups that one has to look at a knowledgebase article to find it, as in:

Click on the gear icon on the right side of your task, as you have been doing, and select "Recover Files". This will give you a timeline at the botton of the Window. You can right click on any of the backup dates, and delete any that you wish. This is the preferred method to "trim" backups from within the task. Be carefull not to delete any full backups you want to keep, and if doing incrementals, once you delete an incremental, all the following incrementals will no longer be any good.

3. When using the operating system or Total Commander I can look at all Versions of all backups and decide to delete all incremental ones after a full backup and delete those and certain full ones, too. How would I do that the official way inside the program?

4. When I _have_ deleted versions, the original full backup still works for mounting it (and it should). But mounting it through the program leads to zillions of questions about missing incremental files. There is no "fix the problem" option to not ask these questions each time afte somebody has committed the crime (of simply deleting an unneeded file). How can I get the program to understand that the missing file is no longer retrievable somewhere else but simply not existent any more?

5. What exactly is mean by "the backup explorer" cited in the manual occationally.
Why can the term not be found in the program, for example in the menu structure to simply open it?

Suggestions:

Add a function - if its not there somewhere already - to rescan the available files of an existing backup definition (where non-accessible tib files are removed from the database).

Add the functionality to the timeline display to show backups without the correspoinding tib-files accessible with a different color (so one can see what is either off-line or simply deleted).

Add access to the backup explorer in a (near) top level in the menu structure.

Every one of my customers uses True Image and it would help if at least I could help them when they have a problem.

TIA,

HTB
