Deleting Backup Versions without Deleting Job.

Thread needs solution

I have a backup Job that I run manually. Creates a full backup of my SSD partitions. After a while there are numerous backup "Versions" and the Job indicates the number and the latest backup date. If I want to delete some, but not all of the old backup versions, how do you do it in the Acronis interface?

You can delete the job - which deletes the settings and all backup files. Not what I want. You can "Remove from List" which removes the job from the job list but doesn't remove backup files. Again not what I want.

I just want to delete several of the old backup files and have Acronis recognize that there are fewer versions out there to restore from. I see noway to do this. I can just use WIndows explorer to locate and delete the files, but Acronis doesn't change the number of backup versions available to restore from. :(

I know I'm probably missing something... but just can't find it in the GUI.

Click on the gear icon on the right side of your task, as you have been doing, and select "Recover Files". This will give you a timeline at the botton of the Window. You can right click on any of the backup dates, and delete any that you wish. This is the preferred method to "trim" backups from within the task. Be carefull not to delete any full backups you want to keep, and if doing incrementals, once you delete an incremental, all the following incrementals will no longer be any good.

Recover Files is not available in the list of actions when clicking on the gear icon.
All that is available to choose from:
View Log
Collapse
Back Up Now
Open Location
Edit Settings
Validate
Delete
More...
Create Shortcut
Clone Settings
Move
Remove From List

I am using True Image 2013, Build 6514.
What can be done instead?
